Azerbaijani cybercrime police have detained three more suspects accused of operating illegal gambling schemes through the MostBet, Xbet and Vimpay platforms.

The Interior Ministry identified the suspects as Maharram Guliyev, Sanan Farziyev and Hikmat Hasanov.

Authorities said the three men recruited Azerbaijani residents to gamble through platforms that are prohibited from operating in the country.

The group allegedly managed its activities from a rented apartment in Baku. Police searching the property seized technical equipment, bank cards, mobile phones and cash.

Investigators also allege that the suspects used various methods to launder substantial amounts of money generated through the gambling platforms.

Officials did not disclose the total amount processed through the operation or the suspects’ alleged profits.

A criminal case has been opened, and investigators are working to identify additional participants and related financial transactions, Report said.

The operation is part of a broader Azerbaijani crackdown on illegal online casinos and their domestic payment networks. Authorities have increasingly targeted not only gambling websites but also local intermediaries who collect deposits, manage player accounts and transfer proceeds.

The allegations have not yet been tested in court, and the suspects are presumed innocent unless convicted.
