Uzbekistan Joins Azerbaijan-Turkey Military Drills

The Unity of Strength 2026 exercises have been expanded into a trilateral format, with Uzbekistan joining Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry disclosed new details of the drills, according to APA. The arrival of Turkish units had been announced earlier, but Uzbekistan’s participation and the full geography of the exercise had not.

The three stages will be held at the Gizilgaya training center in the Karabakh economic region, the Karabakhlar range in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Boyuk Zira area of Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea.

Personnel, combat equipment, aircraft, naval forces and drones will take part. The stated objective is to practice joint operations, troop coordination and common training procedures.

The dates of the active phase and the number of participants have not yet been disclosed.
