Azerbaijan-based donors have collected nearly 20 generators for Ukraine through the Energy of Solidarity initiative as Kyiv prepares for another winter of pressure on its power system, Ukrainian Ambassador Yuriy Gusev said on Oct. 26.

Gusev said the campaign brings together assistance from individuals, businesses and organizations in Azerbaijan.

He said transformers, electrical panels and cables previously supplied by Azerbaijan are being used to repair damaged energy infrastructure and restore electricity to Ukrainian communities.

Previous Campaign Sent 67 Generators

In 2025, the Heat for Ukraine campaign collected and delivered 67 generators of various capacities. The equipment went to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, hospitals in Kyiv and Kherson, and communities in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.

The latest initiative continues that work as Ukraine seeks additional autonomous power sources ahead of winter. Gusev thanked Azerbaijan’s leadership, government and citizens for their energy assistance and solidarity.
