Azerbaijan Urges Citizens to Avoid Travel to Iran Amid Security Concerns

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran due to the worsening security situation in the Islamic Republic.

In a statement, the ministry advised Azerbaijani nationals to avoid visiting Iran until the situation stabilizes. Citizens currently in Iran are encouraged to leave the country – depending on their location – via Azerbaijan or through Turkey.

The Foreign Ministry also called on citizens to strictly observe safety precautions, avoid areas of mass gatherings, comply with instructions issued by local authorities, and closely monitor official information sources.

In case of emergencies, Azerbaijani nationals are advised to immediately contact the country’s diplomatic missions in Iran.
