Beef prices in Azerbaijan’s Ismayilli district have increased by 1 manat over the past two days, rising from 17 manats ($10) to 18 manats ($10.59) per kilogram.
The increase has already affected sales. One local butcher said he sold only 20–30 kilograms from a 100-kilogram supply during the day.

Meat sellers attributed the price increase to the rising cost of live cattle purchased from private farms. They said higher wholesale prices were being passed directly on to consumers.
