Investigative actions have reportedly been carried out at the residence of former member of parliament and National Council member Gultekin Hajibeyli.
The development is linked to an ongoing investigation conducted by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan.
According to Vesti Baku, Hajibeyli has been invited to provide testimony as a witness. Reports say she was summoned within the framework of a criminal case opened by the State Security Service concerning Ramiz Mehdiyev and other individuals.
On February 12, Hajibeyli was deported from Turkey to Azerbaijan. According to available information, on November 30 of last year she was taken by police from her residence in Istanbul to a local station and later transferred to a repatriation center in Çatalca.
Authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the investigation.
