The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s current portfolio in Azerbaijan stood at €888 million as of July 31, down €4 million from the previous month.
AZE.US reports that the EBRD currently has 35 active projects in the country, with the private sector accounting for 41% of the portfolio.
Sustainable infrastructure represents the largest share of financing at €794 million, or 89% of the total. Financial institutions account for €64 million, while another €30 million is allocated to the corporate sector.
The bank’s operating assets in Azerbaijan were valued at €715 million. The figure declined by €6 million, or 0.83%, over the month.
Since the start of its operations in Azerbaijan, the EBRD has invested €3.728 billion across 202 projects. In 2025 alone, the bank provided €81 million for 10 projects.
