Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev urged people to protect and strengthen peace with Armenia, describing it as still fragile in a message posted to his official social-media accounts on Oct. 19.
The message accompanied a video about the war Azerbaijan calls the Patriotic War, reproducing the post from the @azpresident account.
“Peace is still fragile; it must be protected and strengthened,” the message said.
Sülh hələ də kövrəkdir, onu qorumaq və möhkəmləndirmək lazımdır. https://t.co/meZb0WUCZo

Aliyev used the same wording in his address to the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia summit in Baku on Oct. 15. In that speech, he said Azerbaijan had offered Armenia peace after the war and that the two countries had been living in peace for slightly more than a year.
The Oct. 19 publication renewed that appeal through a social-media message. It was not a new address to the summit.
