Azerbaijan and Colombia have signed an agreement to waive visas for holders of ordinary passports.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Colombian Foreign Minister Omar Bula Escobar signed the document on Sept. 22 in New York after meeting on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The agreement applies to citizens holding ordinary passports, rather than only diplomatic or service documents.
The two sides also discussed expanding political dialogue, economic relations and cooperation in tourism, education and culture.
The effective date, permitted length of stay and other practical conditions have not yet been announced. Travelers should continue following existing visa requirements until official implementation rules are published.
