BAKU — Military personnel from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan have begun the joint “Unity Force 2026” exercises in Azerbaijan’s Khojavend district.
The opening ceremony was held at the Gyzylgaya training center, where service members from the three countries assembled and marched past the reviewing stand, according to Vesti Baku.
Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said the exercises are intended to improve interoperability among participating units, strengthen practical skills, support the exchange of operational experience and rehearse coordinated action during joint missions.
The ministry said the trilateral format is also expected to deepen cooperation and professional ties among the armed forces of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
The start of the exercises was also reported by Report and announced by Azerbaijan’s state news agency AZERTAC.
