Baku Metro to Restore Two-Minute Red Line Intervals

Must read

Baku Metro will end shuttle service between Hazi Aslanov and Ahmadli and restore the Red Line’s previous operating pattern after a reconstructed turnaround at Hazi Aslanov opens.

Construction on the section has been completed, and the change is expected within days, although the exact date has not been announced.

Trains will again run directly between Icherisheher and Hazi Aslanov. Peak-hour intervals on the Red Line will be two minutes, while trains will run every two minutes and 30 seconds at other times.

Turnaround Prepared for Six-Car Trains

Infrastructure was renewed along a section about one kilometer long, apart from the ceiling area. The tracks were extended by 20 meters so that six-car trains can be accommodated in the future, and new control and safety systems were installed.

Baku Metro said passengers would be informed separately when the restored timetable takes effect. Reconstruction details were reported by APA.
