BAKU, Azerbaijan - Sixteen bus routes in Baku will temporarily operate under revised traffic plans beginning Sept. 29 because of roadwork on Suleyman Sani Akhundov Street, the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency said.
The changes affect routes No. 2, 3, 33, 41, 45, 71, 88, 93, 100, 108A, 108B, 123, 147, 179, 202 and 203, according to Vesti Baku, citing the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency, known as AYNA.
Revised Routes During Roadwork
Buses on routes No. 41, 45, 71, 100, 108A, 108B, 123, 147, 179 and 203 will be redirected along Ibrahimpasha Dadashov and Jafar Khandan streets, Azadlig Avenue and the Binagadi highway.
Route No. 2 buses traveling from Darnagul metro station toward Avtovagzal station will use Suleyman Sani Akhundov and Ahmad Rajabli streets and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue. In the opposite direction, buses will travel along Ahmad Rajabli and Suleyman Sani Akhundov streets.
Route No. 3 buses heading toward Darnagul station will be redirected along Jafar Khandan, Ahmad Rajabli and Suleyman Sani Akhundov streets. In the opposite direction, they will use Suleyman Sani Akhundov and Ahmad Rajabli streets, as well as Ziya Bunyadov and Ataturk avenues.
Routes No. 33, 88 and 93 will reach Darnagul under revised plans using Ahmad Rajabli, Suleyman Sani Akhundov, Jafar Khandan and Shovkat Mammadova streets. Route No. 202 buses traveling toward the Balajari settlement will use Jafar Khandan Street and Azadlig Avenue.
Free Connection to Darnagul
Additional Route No. 3 buses will operate between Abay Kunanbayev Street in Baku’s 7th microdistrict and Darnagul metro station. Travel on that section will be free.
Officials did not announce an end date for the temporary arrangements, which will remain tied to the duration of the roadwork.
