Turkey warned that the escalating confrontation involving Iran could expand beyond its current scope if additional regional actors enter the conflict.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that if countries targeted by Iran choose to exercise their right of retaliation, the conflict could “expand on two fronts.”

Speaking in a live broadcast on TRT Haber, Fidan stressed that such escalation would carry serious risks, particularly for energy infrastructure in the Gulf region.

“If countries attacked by Iran respond militarily, the front of the war will widen,” he said, warning that not only U.S. military bases but also strategic energy facilities could become targets.

Fidan added that the possibility of the conflict spreading across a broader geography is a matter of concern for Ankara.

His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and growing uncertainty over whether Gulf states may become directly involved in the ongoing hostilities surrounding Iran.
