Electronic registration for 124 state-supported private kindergartens across Azerbaijan will open at 3 p.m. on September 14, with parents paying between 75 and 400 manats ($44–$235) per month after government subsidies.
Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year must be submitted through the mygov platform. Registration will remain open until 3 p.m. on September 25.
The program covers private preschool institutions in Baku, Sumgayit, Nakhchivan and several other regions of Azerbaijan.
Government to Cover Up to 350 Manats
According to a list published by the Ministry of Science and Education, the full monthly fees at participating kindergartens range from 250 to 750 manats ($147–$441).
Monthly government support will range from 175 to 350 manats ($103–$206), depending on the institution. Families will pay the remaining amount, ranging from a minimum of 75 manats to a maximum of 400 manats.
The terms differ among kindergartens. At some institutions charging 500 manats ($294) per month, for example, the government will cover 350 manats, leaving parents to pay 150 manats ($88).
At some of the more affordable regional kindergartens, families will pay between 90 and 110 manats ($53–$65) per month.
Places Remain Limited
The official list includes the name and address of each kindergarten, its enrollment capacity, full monthly fee, government subsidy and the amount payable by parents.
Enrollment plans for individual institutions range from 10 to 300 children.
The ministry said participating kindergartens will be monitored under their funding agreements. The initiative is intended to expand access to preschool education and provide families with an alternative to public kindergartens.
Submitting an application does not guarantee admission because the number of subsidized places at each institution is limited.
