SOCAR Petroleum said reports of a fuel shortage in northern Azerbaijan are false and that filling stations are receiving supplies without interruption.
The company rejected claims that deliveries had stopped at filling stations in Guba, Khachmaz, Khudat, Gusar, Shabran and Siyazan, according to a statement reported by APA-Economics on Oct. 23.
Earlier social-media reports alleged that fuel shipments from SOCAR Petroleum’s Khachmaz Oil Terminal Base No. 10 had been suspended and that stocks at some filling stations could run out within about one day. Those claims were not independently confirmed.
Company Says Reserves Are Sufficient
SOCAR Petroleum said the Khachmaz terminal has sufficient fuel reserves, no restrictions have been imposed and partner filling stations continue to receive supplies on schedule.
The company said it is monitoring the supply chain and has recorded no delays or shortages. It urged drivers, media outlets and the public to rely on verified information from official sources.
