Ilham Aliyev Donates $500,000 Peace Prize to Karabakh Revival Fund

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has donated the entire monetary portion of the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity to the Karabakh Revival Fund.

The award certificate was presented to Aliyev on September 14 by Mohamed Abdelsalam, secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Elders, during a meeting in Baku, the presidential press service said.

Aliyev received the 2026 award in recognition of his efforts to advance peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The award includes a $500,000 cash prize. Aliyev decided that the full amount should be transferred to the Karabakh Revival Fund, which supports reconstruction and development across Azerbaijan’s territories affected by the decades-long conflict.
