Azerbaijan’s special quarantine regime will remain in force until 6:00 a.m. on January 2, 2027, under a new decision by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The government said the extension was intended to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections and mitigate the possible consequences of COVID-19, Vesti Baku reported.

The regime had previously been scheduled to expire on October 1, 2026. The new decision therefore extends it for more than three months.

The published announcement does not introduce new restrictions. It only extends the duration of the existing special regime.
