Sevil Aliyeva, the daughter of Azerbaijan’s late national leader Heydar Aliyev, said she has been living in Baku since 2017 after spending many years abroad.
Aliyeva, a composer and recipient of Azerbaijan’s “Shohrat” Order, made the statement in a post on social media.
“Because I lived abroad for many years, many people still think that I am outside Azerbaijan,” she wrote. “I would like to clarify that since 2017, I have been living in Baku, in my father’s home, and continuing my life in my native homeland.”
Aliyeva also thanked her followers for their attention, warm messages, sincere wishes and continued support.
“This sincere attitude and love are very valuable to me,” she said, wishing her followers good health, prosperity, happiness and success.
