An Azerbaijani couple made an unconventional entrance at their wedding, riding a motorcycle directly into the reception hall and sparking a lively debate on social media.
The bride told Baku TV that riding motorcycles had been her childhood dream and had become an important part of her life.
“A motorcycle is not just a means of transportation for me. It is part of my life, so I wanted it to be part of my most special day,” she said.
The couple originally planned only a motorcycle convoy and a special video shoot. But after seeing the attention it attracted outside the venue, the bride’s father arranged with the restaurant management for the newlyweds to ride into the hall.
The bride has been riding for four years, while the groom began training about a year ago. They also practiced together before the wedding to ensure that the unusual entrance could be completed safely.
Videos of the celebration quickly spread online. Some users praised the couple’s originality, while others argued that the stunt did not fit Azerbaijan’s traditional wedding culture.
“I respect everyone’s opinion. The same thing cannot please everyone,” the bride said, adding that she wished people were happy enough not to spend their time judging the lives of others.
She also revealed that she had suffered serious injuries in previous motorcycle accidents, including one in which a finger bone broke through the skin and required a metal pin. Despite the risks, she continued riding with the support of her family.
