Authorities in Azerbaijan are examining the death of Fidan Abbasli, a third-year student at the Azerbaijan–French University (UFAZ). Media reports say she had previously undergone rhinoplasty. Her cause of death has not been established.
Abbasli studied computer science. Lent.az reported that the nose operation took place some time before her death and that the circumstances were under investigation. The available reports do not establish that the surgery caused her death.
In a television report cited by Vesti Baku, relatives said they had not been aware of any health problems before the procedure.
