The Washington-based Cultural Diplomacy and Development Foundation (CDDF) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Universal Peace Federation to cooperate on peacebuilding, education and intercultural dialogue.
The agreement, signed in Washington on July 7, establishes a framework for joint educational programs, international conferences, cultural exchanges, leadership initiatives and community-based projects.
The organizations also plan to cooperate in conflict prevention, women’s leadership, youth empowerment, research, policy discussions and interfaith dialogue.
“This partnership represents an important milestone in our mission to build bridges between nations and communities through cultural diplomacy,” said Leyla Mammadli, founder and executive director of the Cultural Diplomacy and Development Foundation.
Mammadli said sustainable peace requires dialogue, education, mutual respect and direct engagement between communities.
The two organizations said the partnership would bring together policymakers, educators, civil society representatives, academics, young leaders and cultural professionals from different countries.

The Cultural Diplomacy and Development Foundation is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit focused on cultural diplomacy, peacebuilding, education and sustainable development.
The Universal Peace Federation works internationally on peace, interfaith cooperation, governance and development through dialogue and educational initiatives.
